JUDAH PRAISE BIO

The voices of Julie Merrifield, Latoya Rabsatt, Myra Penn, and Verona Hutchinson blend beautifully to sing songs of zion Caribbean style. JUDAH PRAISE are a part of a large church family extending from Tortola, (British Virgin Islands ), St.Thomas ( U.S. Virgin Islands ), and New York. This gospel family also has other islands of the eastern Caribbean that gives this group a great cultural mix.

Our formative years was spent in choirs, drama groups, and playing musical instruments in the service of the Lord. Now we're bringing to the world the best of gospel songs and music Caribbean style with our motto: "Forward With Excellence Through Jesus Christ Our Lord." In doing this we've shared stage with gospel greats like Ron Winans, Tramaine Hawkins,  Candi Staten, Byron Cage and the Queen of Gospel Shirley Caesar. Judah Praise has also shared stage with well known Caribbean artist like, The Grace Thrillers, Carlene Davis, Hopeton Lewis, Junior Tucker,Goddy-Goddy, DJ Nicholus, Stitchie, Mr Lynx, Landlord, Monty-G, and the Caribbean legend and Gospel Music Hall of Famer, Joseph Niles. We have also traveled to Florida  and to a  few Caribbean islands including Tortola, Antigua, St. Kitts, Freeport Bahamas, Nassau Bahamas, and New York.

Judah Praise has won serveral  Gospel Music Awards. The first one was for "The Best Original Caribbean Song of the Year" for the song "WARRIOR" at the 5th Annual Hopeton Lewis Caribbean Gospel Music Awards. The   second award was the Tiffany Awards for "Best Calypso Group of the Year" in New York December of 2005, and the third was at the Marlin Awards  for Calypso/Soca Duo - Group of the year for the song "Hoorah for Jesus". We recieved this award in July of 2006.  

JUDAH PRAISE anticipates reaching the plateau of "Excellence" with our Caribbean blended songs and music in Jesus mighty name. We will concur because Christ is our reining King in our hearts, and in our lives. Forever He is our Lord, and we want others to know about Him.
